Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy is a 16-year old American who was from Miami Florida. She is half English, half Spanish. Her parents include Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker as well as Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. His father is an Argentine who had Scottish as well as English heritage. Her mother's heritage is Spanish and English. Taylor-Joy was born into a family of six children. Four of her siblings are of the marriage that she had with Taylor's father. The family lived within Buenos Aires until she was six then relocated to the Victoria region of London. Taylor-Joy says the move to London was traumatic and she did not study English to avoid moving back to Argentina. The school she attended had to be changed from Northlands in order to attend Hill House. She then went to Queen's Gate School in London, where she took ballet classes as well as participated in drama productions. After she turned 16, she dropped out of school in order to pursue a full-time career in acting. Since her early years, Taylor-Joy was aware of her desire to be an actor and her goals were realized when she was offered a modeling job by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
