Sofia Pernas grew in Orange County, California. Sofia Pernas is a Moroccan native - was moved to California as a child when she was just five years old. Her first break into acting in the year of 2015. That same year, she graduated from University of California San Diego. Pernas made minor appearances on NCIS as well as Leverage and Leverage, however she got the part of Marisa on The Young and the Restless. In 2016, after leaving the soap opera her actress was offered an appearance as Catalina in Jane the Virgin. Us Weekly announced in May 20th that Pernas dated Justin Hartley who was her co-star for The Young and the Restless.
