Anita Saarkessian

Anita Sarkeesian was born in Canada, but was raised in the U.S. She's worked as media critic since. Feminist Frequency was founded by Sarkeesian. It hosts video clips with commentary that analyze gender representations in popular culture. Anita Sarkeesian, a Canadian-American blogger and media critic who has won prizes for her work, is an activist blogger. Feminist Frequency is a non-profit educational website which explores the representations of females in the popular media narratives. She is committed to deconstructing stereotypes about women and how they are depicted in pop media. In addition she has a mission to increase awareness about online harassment targeted at women and marginalized groups of people. Sarkeesian is a graduate in social thought and politics from York University. She is an extremely well-respected and respected public speaking. Sarkeesian delivered speeches to the TEDxWomen XOXO Fest and United Nations Broadband Working Group. As a university student Sarkeesian was fascinated by the issue of gender and rights for women from a young age. An ambitious woman who wanted to create a web series that examined the gender representation of video games was targeted in an internet-based campaign. But the assault did have been a hindrance, rather it made her more determined as a feminist critic of media. Numerous awards have been awarded to her as a way of acknowledging all of the contribution she has made. Anita Sarkeesian, a media critic, has been awarded many awards, and also founded Feminist Frequency which is an educational nonprofit that studies how women are represented in the popular culture stories.
