Kari Sam Wuhrer, born April 28, 1968 is an American singer and actress. Wuhrer began her career as a teenager. She is famous for her character of Maggie Beckett in the television show Sliders as well as her role as Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), a payroll accountant, and German American Andrew Wuhrer, an officer in the police force and a car salesman. She is the youngest of three children. As a teenager, she was a singer who was a regular in the clubs, escaping from her family in order to perform. Kari Wuhrer was an American model, performer and actress. Her acting career at Wooster school when she was thirteen years old. She was born in Brookfield on April 28 in 1967. Her mother is an accountant for payroll, while her father is German-American and is a police officer and automobile salesperson. Kari has three brothers and sisters. As a teenager, she performed in nightclubs in secret, escaping to perform. Kari, who was then 13 years old studied at the Wooster School as well as the Tisch School of the Arts of New York University. She also attended drama classes in Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College, Marymount Manhattan College College, plus at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art with a drama teacher who was known for her work as Uta. Kari started acting when she was an teen, and her first television break was in 1987 on MTV's Remote Control.
